PRIVATE MENTORSHIP / MEDIEVAL MAGIC

Medieval
Magic.

Latin, tradition and practice across six months of individual study.

Start with Latin. Follow the text into its world.

We begin with pronunciation, essential grammar and the religious vocabulary that appears again and again in medieval sources. Short passages come early, so the language is learned in contact with texts rather than in isolation.

From there we move into the medieval Latin world itself: prayer, ritual, natural and spiritual powers, and the ways magical texts were copied, transmitted and understood. The final two months are devoted to one source chosen around your interests.
