Begin with the language. End with one text in your hands.
The first months are deliberately foundational. We begin with the Greek alphabet, pronunciation and the language you need to recognize what a source is actually saying. From there we move into the gods, religious practices and historical settings that give those texts their meaning.
The final stage is narrower. We choose one hymn, prayer or ritual text around your interests and stay with it long enough to read it closely, understand its setting and develop a related ritual, contemplative or interpretive practice.

Months 1–2
LanguageLearn the Greek alphabet, pronunciation and essential vocabulary. Begin reading short passages with guided translation and build the language foundation for the texts we will study.
GREEKMonths 3–4
History & ReligionExplore the historical worlds, gods and ritual traditions behind the sources. Read selected authors and consider how religious ideas give meaning to ancient practices.
CONTEXTMonths 5–6
A Selected Text & PracticeWork closely with one hymn, prayer or ritual text chosen around your interests. Study its language and meaning, then develop a related ritual, contemplative or interpretive practice.
